What you can do when you visit our buildings:

  • Visit The Play's The Thing, our free interactive exhibition showcasing 400 years of theatre making with costumes and props selected by local community groups.
  • Book a Guided Tour and find out more about the history of our buildings and how we put plays on our stages.
  • Take a trip up The Tower to see 360 degree views of your town.

CPD for TEACHERS IN 2025/26

  • Start your Certificate training in 2025 with the Foundation Course 17-18 October 2025 and 9 January 2026
  • We have a new opportunity for teachers coming this year - Teacher Twilights are 90-minute after school workshops that introduce teaching Shakespeare to specific Key Stages. 
  • We continue to host Teacher Webinars online for £10 per teacher about the plays in our season. The Next Webinar will be on Hamlet, 25 February 2025. We will also be hosting webinars on Much Ado About Nothing and Measure for Measure.
  • You can book an INSET Day with us and an RSC Practitioner will come to your school to lead sessions on using active approaches. For enquiries about INSET Days please contact teachers.courses@rsc.org.uk

YOUR COMMUNITIES

  • Use our Welcome Space. Groups are invited to use the PACCAR Room in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. To request an information pack to book this space, contact learning@rsc.org.uk.
  • Did you know that you can hire costumes and accessories from our Costume Hire? Anyone from individuals looking for the perfect party outfit to amateur theatre companies looking for period costumes can book an appointment and rent from Costume Hire

FOR FAMILIES

  • Visit The Play's The Thing - open from midday everyday. Enter via the Swan entrance of the building and head up to the second floor, there are stairs or a lift or ask one of our Front of House team for directions. 
  • Our February Half Term activities are now available to book. 
  • Explore our Summer Schools for young people aged 8-11 and 11-14 hosted in the summer holidays and available to book from February.
