Our 74 Shakespeare Nation actors have been taking part in tech rehearsals at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre ahead of performing in Henry VI: Rebellion.

With Henry VI: Rebellion opening this week, the Shakespeare Nation groups that will be performing as townsfolk and part of Jack Cade's rebellion have been in Stratford-upon-Avon for their final preparations.

Initially each group rehearsed in their local theatres, but they have now been spending time in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre as part of tech week, practising with all the elements of sound, lighting and costume in place. Each group takes to the stage in roughly four of the performances alongside the professional cast.

Meet the Rebels

Some of our Shakespeare Nation participants have been writing blogs about their experience auditioning and preparing for these roles, sharing their insights into what they have learnt from the process and how it has affected their lives.

So far, you can read about how Shakespeare Nation has helped improve Kelly's confidence, watch Becky talk about the excitement of trying something new, and find out about Corin's passion for theatre.
