No Holds Barred hosts its very first event on 5 October in the popular town of Stratford-upon-Avon.
No holds barred presents a unique and exciting event that challenges the norm around how we’ve historically talked about mental health. The event will offer a no nonsense and refreshingly direct approach towards living a healthier and happier life. With a wealth of extraordinary guest speakers and controversial debates that push the boundaries around the topic of mental health, this event is not to be missed.
Please note: Although this event is taking place at The Other Place, it has not been produced by the RSC.
Speakers announced to date are Simon Thomas and Paul Mort with more guest speakers announced soon.
Simon Thomas is one of Sky Sports’ main presenters and shares his inspiring story at No Holds Barred after his wife, Gemma, sadly passed away on 24 November 2017, just three days after being diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia. Simon, who has been raising son Ethan, 8, single-handedly after losing Gemma, is now an advocate for improving mental health.
In August 2013 Paul Mort stood on the edge of a cliff in South Shields ready to end it all. After suffering from bipolar and thoughts of suicide Paul hit the very bottom. Hear his amazing life changing transformation and the lessons it taught him at No Holds Barred.
