There will be Bucks Fizz and cake, toasts and readings, all before heading into the town to watch the procession and the unfurling of flags. Wear a sprig of rosemary for remembrance if you can and celebrate all that Shakespeare has done for us.

After playing Olivia in the recent production of Twelfth Night, Freema has returned to Stratford-upon-Avon to play Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing. Freema has had an extensive and award-winning career on stage, film and television and will be remembered for her time as the companion to Doctor Who and also appearing in the spin-off show Torchwood as well as recently receiving a What’s On Stage award for Best Supporting Performer for her role in Jamie Lloyd’s Romeo and Juliet on the West End in 2024.
