Our work placements are designed to provide targeted opportunities for people who face barriers to entering the industry.

Work placements for 18+

We offer work placements through our Next Generation development programmes and partnerships, rather than open applications. These placements are designed to provide targeted opportunities for individuals who face barriers to entering the industry.

Our placements are available to those aged 18 or over who are legally eligible to work in the UK. Due to health, safety, and safeguarding policies, we are unable to offer placements to those under 18 at this time.

If you're interested in gaining experience in theatre, we encourage you to explore our events, workshops, and tours, which can provide valuable insight into our work.

For more ways to engage with us, keep an eye on our website and sign up for job alerts to stay informed about other opportunities.

WORK EXPERIENCE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE AGED 13-18

We provide work experience opportunities for students in targeted schools through our Next Generation programme. Next Generation gives young people from backgrounds historically under-represented in the arts the chance to explore careers in working in backstage roles as well as in directing and acting. More about RSC Next Generation.

Next Generation is part of our work with around 300 Associate Schools across the country. The schools all meet one or more specific indicator(s) of disadvantage and would otherwise have limited or no access to arts and cultural programmes.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept requests for work experience outside the Next Generation programme.
