• How can my school work with RSC Learning?

  There are many ways your school can work with the RSC:

  • The Schools' Broadcasts are available free to all UK schools and are supported by downloadable resources tailored for both a primary and secondary audience, including interactive whiteboard resources, downloadable packs and activities, rehearsal clips, interviews and images - find out more
  • We offer a range of events and workshops for students of all ages, both in-person in Stratford-upon-Avon and online.

• Can I interview a member of staff / artist at the RSC?

  You will appreciate that we receive an enormous number of requests for interviews and it is just not possible to arrange these which is why we have designed our website to provide as much information as possible in response to the many enquiries we receive. 

• Is it possible for an actor to visit our school?

  We offer a year round programme of workshops in Stratford upon Avon led by RSC actors and directors. We also provide workshops to support our touring productions across the UK.  You can also book an RSC artist to lead a professional development day in your school or at a venue of your choice - find out more

• Do you have resources I can use?

  We have a range of different resources available which include images, videos and teacher packs. All of our free resources are based on an active approach to Shakespeare's language and are inspired by each production's rehearsal process.  They are tailored to meet the needs of primary and secondary school students. 
  
  For some of our more recent productions we also have interactive learning resources available which offer a great introduction to the plays at KS3. You may find our extensive resource Shakespeare Unlocked useful. This collaboration with the BBC contains a wealth of rehearsal footage and exploration of textual choices.

• Can you send us some posters?

  There are a number of posters available for purchase through our online shop

• How can I get regular updates about the work of RSC Learning?

  You can sign up to free emails through My RSC, follow us on Twitter or become an RSC Member for regular information updates by post.

• Do you sell DVDs of previous productions?

  A number of our productions are available to purchase through the RSC shop.
  
  The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust houses the RSC archives including cast lists and performance dates, production posters, videos, photographs, prompt books, designs, music manuscripts and reviews of RSC productions.
  
  Visit our play pages for information on all of Shakespeare's plays, including images, video and interviews.

• How can I work for the RSC as a Practitioner or as part of the Learning team?

  Thank you for your interest in working with us. We always advertise any vacancies on the RSC jobs section.
  
  We do not accept CVs or applications other than those submitted in connection to advertised roles. 

• I'm doing a school/college/university project and would like to survey RSC audiences. Do I need permission?

  Yes you do. As an organisation, we conduct regular audience research and cannot accommodate requests for students to use their own surveys – we want to ensure we do not overload our audiences with too many requests for information. 

• Can I raise money for my charity at the theatre? Can the RSC donate prizes to my fundraising event?

  We are ourselves a charity and support many other charities. We make annual collections for a theatrical industry charity, Acting For Others, World Aids Day, The Poppy Appeal and Comic Relief. In addition, we make relevant appeals on behalf of local, national or international incidents. We receive a lot of requests throughout the year from individuals and organisations requesting sponsorship or donations and it is always with regret that we say we cannot assist with such requests.

• I have some questions about how your organisation is run - can you help?

  There's lots of information about the RSC in the About Us section. A good place to start is the Facts and Figures section which includes our Annual Report. 

• I have some questions I'd like to ask your artists - can you help?

  We publish interviews and features with the artists involved in our productions here on the website – browse the relevant play pages to see if your questions are answered there.

  Unfortunately there just isn't enough time for our artists to answer everyone's questions individually. Sorry. 

• I'm an actor and would like more professional training - what do you offer?

  We have a rigorous programme of artist development training but unfortunately it's only available to those actors who are rehearsing or performing with us currently. Sorry.

• What kind of marketing and communications does the RSC use to raise awareness of productions?

  We use a range of techniques to market our work.  These include:

  • Print advertising
  • Online advertising
  • Email
  • Direct mail
  • Leaflet Distribution
  • Social Media
  • Outdoor advertising

  We also have a busy Press Office who work with the media and bloggers to promote our work.

• How do I submit a script to the RSC for feedback?

  Unfortunately we do not accept unsolicited scripts but we do try to see as much new work as we can. You can find out more about our new writing production and our work with contemporary writers here.
