Member Friend Events 

You can upgrade your Membership to a Friends Membership for an additional £20 a year. The RSC Friends organise and host events throughout the year. Recent guest speakers have included Tracy-Ann Oberman and Peter de Jersey.

  • In Conversation: Scott Handy

    Stratford Methodist Church
    Friday 31 October, 4pm

    Scott Handy will join us for an event for the third time. Scott first met with the Friends in 1998 when he was Ariel in Adrian Noble’s The Tempest and then again in 2011 when he appeared as Antonio in Rupert Goold’s production of The Merchant of Venice.

    We are excited for him to join us again while he is playing Comte de Guiche in Cyrano de Bergerac shows you that we hold him in very high esteem.

  • In Conversation: Adrian Lester

    Stratford Methodist Church
    Friday 7 November, 4pm

    Adrian Lester is making his RSC debut playing the iconic title role in Cyrano de Bergerac. He is an award-winning actor on stage and screen, as well as being a writer and director and was awarded an OBE for services to drama in 2020.

    We are thrilled that he has accepted our invitation to meet with us during his time in Stratford.

  • Christmas Tea Party

    Upper Circle Bar, Royal Shakespeare Theatre
    Saturday 13 December, 5pm

    This year, we are holding our Christmas Tea Party between the matinee and evening performances. This festive celebration will be a buffet-style tea with delicious savoury and sweet items to enjoy.

    We will be holding a raffle so do remember to bring some cash with you!

    It is vital that you let Penny know any dietary requirements, even if you have told her on previous occasions.

  • COFFEE MORNING

    Riverside Cafe, Royal Shakespeare Theatre
    Wednesday 14 January, 2.30–4pm  

    After all the excitement of Christmas and the New Year, join us for a relaxing afternoon of coffee and chatter to start 2026. No need to book – just turn up anytime between 2.30pm and 4pm, get yourself a drink and join us – we’ll probably be the biggest (and noisiest?!) group in the cafe.
