The Other Place

Our home for new writing, intimate performances and family events.

The Other Place is located on Southern Lane, just down the road from the Royal Shakespeare and Swan Theatres. We regularly perform new plays in The Other Place theatre.

The Other Place has hosted a range of new plays and writers, including being the home of our regular Mischief Festivals. Browse the gallery below to learn more about some of our past shows.

Peter Hamilton Dyer and Indra Ove in #WeAreArrested.

The play was part of our spring 2018 Mischief Festival and told the story of a journalist arrested and exiled for publishing information about illegal government activity.

Our facilities

  • Food and drink are available from Susie's Bar in The Other Place (currently closed)
  • There are accessible toilets, with baby changing facilities on the ground floor and first floor of The Other Place.
  • There are all-gender toilets on the first floor.
