We offer a regular programme of free Schools' Broadcasts of RSC productions.

Upcoming Broadcasts

Bring the magic of A Midsummer Night’s Dream into your classroom with our free Schools’ Broadcast. Our 2024 production directed by Eleanor Rhode, starring Mathew Baynton will transport you from deepest midwinter to the most magical of midsummer nights. As four young lovers are faced with the prospect of unhappy marriage or worse, they flee the court of Athens and stumble into an enchanted forest, where the real and fairy worlds collide.

Support your viewing of the broadcast with RSC resources including a specially recorded Q&A with members of the acting company and creative team. Schools that register before 4 January will be invited to send in questions.

The broadcast and Q&A will be available to UK schools to watch on demand from 3 to 7 February 2025. Free. Registration required.

PREPARING FOR THE BROADCAST

Our research tells us that preparing young people to watch a production greatly increases their engagement and enjoyment. We believe that using rehearsal room approaches to Shakespeare in the classroom can help students of all ages and abilities gain a meaningful connection with his work. All schools registered for the broadcasts will have access to a range of supporting materials.
